Charity Stewart, "Momma Mosaic" works from her home studio in Sherwood, Oregon. Seeing the beauty and potential in all things, Charity creates unique mixed media mosaics using hand cut glass, recycled materials, natural stone, scrapbook paper, and other found treasures.

She learned the joy of creating with her hands as a child from her grandmother, as they worked side by side on stained glass window projects in the basement. That creativity launched her interest in art, specifically working with glass. Her focus now is experimenting with the magic of mixing color, texture, and words, and transforming old and discarded items into something new, beautiful and unexpected.

Charity has a true passion about her medium, and finds that her art is in a constant state of evolution as she explores the never ending possibilities of mixed media. Her work can be found locally at juried art and craft shows, online at Etsy.com, and on display at Odgepodge Gallery in Sherwood.

"Discovery consists of seeing what everybody has seen and thinking what nobody has thought."
